VACATION STATION is a summer project of Milwaukee Public & Educational Television that encourages children, aged 6 to 12, to make the best use of their summer vacation.

In June, a sixteen page activity magazine will be distributed free of charge to children at libraries, recreation centers and youth-serving community organizations.

Children will become members of the VACATION STATION Action Club by completing the registration form in the magazine and mailing it to Channel 36. Members will receive Action Club Kits, while supplies last. Channels 10 & 36 Kids Klub members are automatically enrolled.

To encourage summer reading, each kit contains a book review form. Members who send in their completed review of their favorite book will be eligible for a drawing for a free book. (We will draw ten names in September and will notify the winners by phone.) The book reviews that are sent in will be considered for inclusion in the Fall newsletter.

All members are given the opportunity to contribute material for possible inclusion in our newsletter which will be mailed in the fall. Members are invited to send us book reviews, riddles, recipes, poems, stories, craft projects, drawings and reports of vacation adventures and more. All material becomes property of VACATION STATION and cannot be returned.
