Inside
View is Milwaukee Public Television's flagship program for public
affairs
Hosted by Mark Siegrist, Inside View has covered national issues
like the war on terrorism at home and abroad; the political future
of U.S. Senator Russ Feingold; and the rising cost of health care.
Inside
View also covers local issues like the rebuilding of Metcalfe Park
after a violent summer; the future of the Milwaukee Brewers and
the Milwaukee Bucks, our hometown sports teams; and topics concerning
our children such as teen suicide and prenatal care.
Our
first year was exciting and filled with challenges. We have a unique
format where our producers expand ideas presented in their segments
with follow-up studio discussions. In our first year we had veteran
television reporters Jodi Olson and Felicia Rohrer on our team.
They were joined by print journalists Bruce Murphy and Joel McNally.
Station regulars Sharon Patterson, Patricia Gomez, Dan Jones, and
Dan Small rounded out the Inside View crew.
Here are some of the other topics we're working on: Dan Small updates
us on the West Nile Virus. Joel McNally shows us how Native Americans
celebrate Columbus Day. Jodi Olson explores the case of three friends
who died of rare brain diseases after feasting on wild game. And
Sharon Patterson discovers why some African Americans are joining
the Republican Party.
Please
join us on Thursdays evenings at 6:30pm as we give you the Inside
View on issues facing the people of Milwaukee, Southeastern Milwaukee,
and the world. |
